Audrey turns 9

My sweet baby girl turned 9, and I can't believe how fast time is flying by. I created a folder on my computer desktop with pics and videos of my dad, and I like to look at them every so often. I'm still not able to do it without tears, but maybe someday. On Audrey's birthday, I'm reminded of how happy he was holding her for the first time at the hospital. He waited a couple weeks before he came out when Rhys was born, but decided to be here when Audrey was born. I also remember him saying that he hoped he could hold a baby like that one more time, I think he was hinting that he would like it if we had another kid, lol. I wonder if he had memories of me being born when he held Audrey.

In other news, my mom is still in California. She was originally going to return after Audrey's birthday but has decided to extend her trip with the persuasion of her friends. I'm glad she's having fun with her friends, I think she really needs this right now. Construction on our new house is moving along well, and we have our "dusty boot" walk-thru next week. It's been a fun process so far, and we are both very happy with the whole process so far!
