i read a lot of cooking/baking blogs, and this is one of my favorites. she recently shared a yummy looking recipe, and i decided to try it, but making some changes (okay, a lot of changes).

chinese stir fried sticky rice cakes (nian goa)
i obviously omitted the pork. the veggies i used were broccoli, carrots, bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms. and i added some eggs that i scrambled up prior to adding to the mix. i marinated the mushrooms instead of the pork. and i just so happened to have a small bag of dduk (sticky rice cakes) in the freezer. now W is not a big fan of dduk, it's too much rice according to him. but he liked this meal, said it was a nice alternative to noodles or rice.
