i am incredibly impatient...most of the time (altho W would probably tell you i'm incredibly impatient all the time, haha!). it's a miracle i can cook or bake at all, since i don't really care for reading instructions. i do much better when someone actually SHOWS me how things work. with a few exceptions, i tend to just try to dive right in and figure things out myself.

one of the things i just have not been able to teach myself is photography. W has a dSLR and when he first got it, it was his mission to learn how to use it and be a decent amateur photographer. he read books and before you know it, he's an expert. seriously. he's tried to teach me the basics, but i wasn't really interested back then, perfectly happy with the "auto" setting. more recently, i've wanted to learn how to use a dSLR, and even my awesome point n shoot that acts like a dSLR (but is still in a small, easily totable package). i tried reading the books W had, but didn't get very far. all this talk of aperture and f-stop and ISO was really starting to just confuse me. then i came across this article and wow, she explained it so easily and so well, i think i might actually get this!! i wish instructions for everything were made this simple! i think i'm ready to go practice with W's camera now. :)
