as you may have noticed, i've changed the template on my blog. at first, i was thinking about just ending things on this blog and starting a new one, but then i decided to just change the layout instead. i was just getting tired of the old template and the work (altho not much) i had to do to maintain it. let's face it, i don't have a whole lot of time to mess around with programming (that i know very little of) and W is way to busy with more important things these days to help me. i'm still undecided if i should just keep this or try to find something else, but for now, this is it!

i was using haloscan for my comments, but they've been bought by some other company that isn't free, and i'm not about to do anything like this if it's not free!! so i've lost all my comments (well, not really, i have the comments, they're just not on my blog!). i have no clue how to add them back, so i'm not even gonna attempt it. but then again, what do i do with 9+ years of comments to my blog?! can you believe i've had this blog for more than 9 years?! omg...i don't know if that's really cool or really sad!!!

it's crazy to think how far blogs have come since i started mine. i first heard about blogging while working at the law firm, and a couple of my coworkers had livejournal blogs. i didn't think i'd ever have enough to say to start a blog, but they kept talking about it and of course i was intrigued. and here i am, 9 years later, still blogging about nothing (it's kinda like seinfeld, i like to think). i'm not like all the fancy bloggers with all kinds of ads and links and things on their blogs to help raise some money. afterall, i'm not trying to be the next "julie and julia" chick. i like to keep things simple. and quite frankly, i don't ever click on those ads anyway. and who even really visits this blog besides the small handful of friends that still occasionally visit? i think most of my friends have moved onto my other blog that i started when i first got pregnant. for now, i just use this as a place for me to talk about my other passions...crafting, cooking, baking, with an occasional random rant here and there. :)
