so with both of us home, we get gas maybe once a month, tops. today, W put gas in the durango and it only cost $37! i remember not long ago we were spending almost $100 per fill-up!

today i made a wheat/gluten free, dairy free pizza. it wasn't great, but it wasn't that bad either. since i'm breastfeeding, i've cut out all dairy in my diet. it was hard at first (i didn't realize how much cheese i ate!!), but now i'm just used to it. the wheat/gluten free portion is W's idea. i made the crust using bob's red mill gluten free pizza crust mix. i used homemade pesto for the sauce and topped it with red and green bell peppers and some chicken. i used a vegan cheese substitute that actually melted (i was doubtful cuz it had a tofu-like consistency...weird). the first slice was pretty good, but by the middle of the second slice, i was over it. i will never take real pizza for granted again.
