when we moved to colorado 3+ years ago, i had to get used to the fact that i now lived in a red state (at the time). but i also knew we now lived in a swing state. which is why we felt it was especially important for us to vote. so i was very happy to see that colorado turned blue on tuesday. we also elected a democratic senator, and we have a democratic governor. i'm gaining faith in coloradoans.

but no matter how you voted, you have to admit this was not only an incredibly exciting election, but a very memorable one. it makes me really grateful to be an american.
