meet the newest addition to our family:

yes, we got yet another car. so now we're back up to five. but this is W's tow vehicle, since he'll be racing the integra which soon won't be street legal. i am slightly mortified that we own an SUV, but hoping that since it will be a tow vehicle, and W works from home, it won't be driven much. so we're only contributing a little bit to global warming. i drove it a little, and it felt like i was driving a bus!! i'm so not cut out to drive a large truck. i'll stick with my little sportwagon, thank you.
i really wanted the nissan armada, but W read too many bad reviews about them. the dodge durango limited (5.7L hemi) has almost a 9000 lb towing capacity. and altho it's not the coolest looking car, it was all the little bells and whistles that sold W. like the heated leather seats, very roomy seating for 7, lots of fun electronic upgrades, dvd player with wireless headsets (yes, we're one of THOSE ppl!!), and most importanty, the towing capacity. the size isn't too bad for what's considered a large SUV. it's slightly longer than a tahoe, but not as wide, so parking it isn't a problem. it's actually a pretty cool car. i tried to convince him to sell my legacy and get a used porsche cayenne turbo, but even the cheapest one i could find was still over $60k. damn it.
