i've been quite lucky with finding great deals lately, which is something that rarely happens to me. i went to the gap outlet to use a $15 discount card that was about to expire, and ended up buying 3 sweaters for whit and 3 sweaters for me, and with the $15 discount, only paid $22!! oh, and i got 2 candles too. then today i went to BR to use 2 reward cards that were going to expire in a couple weeks, and i bought a merino turtleneck, super cute herringbone pants and socks, for $18 (after $35 discount). even without the discount cards, i would've gotten smokin' deals. wow. i'm so proud of myself! okay, no more shopping for me...

i can't find the espresso colored yarn i was using for the monster blanket i'm crocheting for W. and now i'm afraid it will never be completed. d'oh! so i've started on a sweater for him in the meantime.

i finished the knit picks socks, my second attempt. they came out okay, much better than my first attempt, but i think i will tweak the original pattern a bit...still doesn't look or feel right. still pretty cute, none the less...
