what a weekend it was. to be amongst the world's best, at the return of the US Grand Prix. and the icing on the cake, to have nicky hayden win his first GP race on his home turf. i'll be honest and say i haven't been following moto racing much since 2001, after j's accident, when we all kinda took a step back from motorcycles. but i do know the familiar names, especially of those that we've seen race already, including nicky and colin edwards, and eric bostrom (we saw his bro, ben, win the AMA superbike championship in 2001). but it was just as exciting to see valentino rossi. :) he's very charasmatic, tho he looks much younger than 26. there were record crowds at laguna seca, and this was only the 2nd time an event was sold out in its history! and i believe it, since it took 2 hours to just get out from the parking lot to the main road! here are some highlights:
