i had to work yesterday, labor day, while everyone else got the day off... at first, it was depressing. but we had a major concert event at the hotel, so everyone had to work. it turned out to be a great day to work, cuz i got to see najee and chris botti up close and personal, thru a concert held by KKSF, a local "contemporary jazz" station. chris botti was the headliner, but i actually liked najee's performance a lot more. everyone thought the event went well, and i agreed, being that we're not in the concert throwing business. but we also learned that our hotel is just not able to accomodate 1000 people and their bathroom needs (even with 6 porto-potties) nor all their cars (some had to park a mile away and WALK).
i also learned a valuable lesson in patience and not always rushing things, even when there is an extreme sense of urgency. as they say, "haste makes waste." right?
