i had a most interesting evening yesterday. so i went to my friend ML's wedding reception, the one from high school that called me outta the blue on valentine's day. it was at a very nice chinese restaurant, and we had a most delicious chinese banquet. yum!!! i went with W and friend MS (high school friend, and who's wedding will be my first as a bridesmaid!), who happened to live a block away from the restaurant. we were the first at our table, and soon after, our high school english teacher, mr. W, joins us!! whoa. then i'm looking at this little paper thing on the table, reading the names of the others to join us, and i see VN, a friend from high school that we all had a great big falling out with, mostly due to stupid high school antics. she had a really bad jealousy complex, and refused to even acknowledge MS if she was with LA, it was all very weird. and she did really weird things to me, to make me look really bad to our teachers. it was all very bazaar. but i think we're all past that now (well, at least i hope). she arrived late and we had doubts that she would show, but she did, and it was really good to see her. i haven't seen her in almost 9 years! she was one of our valedictorians (we had 5, we were a very smart class), went to pomona (part of the claremont colleges) and graduated with an astrophysics degree. yeah, she's that smart. but this isn't the end. then, this guy approaches our table, and it turns out to be L, a friend of W from irvine! what? turns out he's good family friends of ML since they were kids in SF. wow, such a strange night...but in a good way!

after talking to all these high school ppl, i realized that ohmigosh, our 10-year reunion is coming up next year. scary. it's been 10 years since i've graduated high school?! am i really that old?! sh*t.

on a side note, as i was eating my haw flakes at work today, i remembered a story of my friend who used to play church and use haw flakes for communion. AHAHAHA...funny.
