okay, jetlag sucks. monday night i woke up at 3am, and couldn't go back to sleep, which really sucked cuz i had to work on tuesday! :( then last night, i slept for 9 hours, and i'm still tired! i've been drinking so much tea to keep myself awake! grr...

few more things of note about japan:
1. the 80's have hit japan...hard. we're talking leg warmers, off-one-shoulder baggy sweaters, side ponytails, gawd awful eyeshadow. it's kinda scary.
2. their public transportation system is amazing. when the schedule says the train arrives at 7:23, the train arrives at 7:23. not 7:24, not 7:22, but 7:23. every single time.
3. they have cars that are so small, they make the mini look enormous. i'm not exaggerating.
4. the homeless actually build elaborate cardboard homes, with rooms, front door, back door, windows, some with portable stoves! it's amazing. and they have little communities in parks all over tokyo.

it's really hard for me to get back into the groove of things at work. i'm either telling ppl about our trip to japan, or about our engagement, or both. over and over and over. so i really haven't done much work. lots going on tho. my director left before i got back, so i came to work with no boss. hmph. our new director starts at the end of the month. so i'm just piddling around til then. :) fine by me! and i'm also going thru a transition in my position. we'll see what happens.

i've posted some pics of japan, just a taste of the 700 we actually took. 700. sheesh.
