i can't believe i went out two nights in a row! hahaha...i rarely ever go out, let alone twice in one weekend.
friday night was low-key, hung out at XYZ at the W with coworkers to say goodbye to a couple leaving for our new property in south beach, florida. it was interesting to be at the W, which is a high-end hotel, but not known for good service. but oh-so-chic and trendy. the concierges wear all black and sit at a fancy desk with fancy decor, and headsets. sometimes i think it would be nice to work for a hotel like the W, where you can give a little attitude to the guests and it's okay. :P i really enjoy hanging out with my coworkers outside of work, where they can leave their stresses behind, and just have fun. they're sooo different, in a good way. i drank half of a badly-made vodka collins (i think the bartender used lemonade instead of club soda and "twist of lemon") and felt buzzed. how sad is that??
saturday, w and i drove all over the bay area in search of new snowboarding boots for me, in preparation for our first trip to the snow next weekend! so i was very excited to invest in a new pair of salomons, on sale, AND they match my board and bindings! i swear i didn't plan it! i bought all my stuff 2 years ago, on sale, for dirt cheap. i love my board and bindings, but hated my boots, so i'm glad to have a new pair. these should last me a long time! now if i could just find the time to get my board tuned...
saturday night a group of us went to the city to celebrate t's birthday. had dinner at gordan beirsch (i know i spelled that wrong), not my fave place to eat, but the company was great. afterwards went to butterfly lounge, which made a bad first impression on me, but turned out better, tho the music was whack and the dj seemed like an amateur. but again, the compay was great, and it was fun to hang out with ppl i don't see enough. the night would've been great, had it not been for spilling t's drink all over my LAP, and looking and feeling like i peed my pants. ugh. luckily it happened at the end of the night, and not the beginning. but it was funny, and i couldn't help but laugh at my bad luck. but talking to t and her boyfriend (who live in hoboken, nj) made me even more excited about my trip to nyc!! i'm literally counting down the days. *whee*
