this weekend was supposed to be my weekend of doing nothing. the past several weekends in a row have been packed with things to do, and the next several weekends will be packed with more things to do. this weekend, today and tomorrow, is my only "free" weekend. so i decided to just do nothing. well, that didn't quite happen today. :) my plan was originally to go to color me mine and unleash my creative side. instead, i decided to go to my favorite store. i love that place!!! fortunately (for my bank account), i only bought one thing for me, and a bunch of inexpensive things for l & d, who just recently got married and soon will be moving to japan for a year. then, i decided, while i was out, i'd go buy j & b's wedding present and get that done. instead, i spent about an hour at macy's trying on dresses. at first, i tried on dresses i could wear to their wedding, then ended up trying on all kinds of formal dresses! hahaha...it was kinda fun. wasn't quite ready to head back home yet, so i went to barnes and read some magazines and bought a book and zine. this may sound a bit...psychotic (?), but i'm addicted to wedding magazines! i think of it as my way of preparing fully for my own wedding (someday). so yes, i have a huge collection of wedding magazines under my bed, all doggy-eared with pages of note. then, i stopped by the store to get food for dinner and finally made my way home, over 5 hours later. it was such a nice day in SF i was this close to just going for a nice long drive. but fear of getting severely lost snapped me out of it.

place i most want to eat: french laundry. someday, when i have a lot of money to spend on one meal... or maybe i'll just get this for now.
