ohmigosh, i'm soooo annoyed with my new eye doc. after i pick up my new contacts (finally!) i am never stepping foot into his office again. i swear, he's very rude and "know-it-all"-ish and accused me of buying my contacts from an online discount contact warehouse, which is totally false cuz i got them from my last eye doctor. wtf? and what does he care? so, i'm looking for a new eye doc. and if any of you on the peninsula are looking for a new eye doc, DO NOT go to dr. soss (pronounced like sauce). he's a big jerk. grr...

on to other news. i'm almost done reading fast food nation (finally!!). i don't read much, mainly cuz when i'm even the tiniest bit tired, it puts me to sleep. but yesterday, i promised myself that i wouldn't watch tv or play online. so after reading the part about the slaughterhouses, i've reverted back to vegetarianism (i was a vegetarian for several years thru jr. high/high school). it's not so much the inhumane treatment of the animals we're eating, it's more the inhumane treatment of the workers that work in these slaughterhouses. it's sooo awful. and not to mention the threat of food poisoning, i.e. e.coli! i definitely recommend everyone read it. it's just full of very interesting stuff. and it looks long, but the last 1/3 of the book is just credits/bibliography, so the whole book is only like 280 some pages. not so bad.
